About the fund

The Fund's office in Akureyri is open weekdays from 09:00 to 12:30 and 13:00 to 15:00 and the office in Neskaupstaður is open from 9:00 to 12:00.

Stapi Pension Fund operates in accordance with Act No. 129/1997 on the Mandatory Guarantee of Pension Rights and the Operations of Pension Funds with subsequent Amendments. The Minister of Finance authorises the operation of the fund and the Financial Supervisory Authority ensures that its activities are in accordance with the provisions of the law on which Regulations are based, as well as the fund’s ratified articles of association.

Stapi Pension Fund is in charge of the operation of Akureyri Municipal Employees’ Pension Fund (LSA) in accordance with a relevant agreement between the two funds.
